What we collect: almost nothing

No accounts, no sign-in
You can play without giving us a name, email or phone number. We never ask for one.
What stays on your device
Your best score in each city, which city you played last, whether you have already seen the How to play screen, your daily results and streak, whether you turned sound on and which station you picked, an unfinished daily game, your chapter stars, your Block Keys and what you unlocked with them, and the neighbor name you choose are saved in your browser's local storage. That information stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
The neighbor name only leaves your device if you press Share, because it is part of the result text you choose to send. You decide where that text goes.
Sound
All music and sound effects are generated by your own browser. No audio is downloaded from anywhere, and the game never uses your microphone.
Drive in 3D
The 3D drive mode runs entirely in your browser. Its map comes from OpenStreetMap and is stored with the game, so no map service sees where you drive.
Anonymous visit counts
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits so we know how many people play. It does not use cookies. Visitors are counted using a temporary hash that is discarded after 24 hours, and the data is only used in totals. It records things like the page visited, the site that sent you, your approximate location (country, region, city), and your device type, browser and operating system. It does not let us identify you.
Vercel's analytics privacy details
Sponsored storefronts
Some storefronts in the game may be sponsored by real local businesses. They are always labeled "Sponsored." Sponsors never receive any information about you, and they never change how the game works or what it teaches. If you follow a sponsor's link, that business's own privacy policy applies.
Links to sources
The archive cards link to outside sources such as government agencies, nonprofits and news outlets. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
We don't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
